Responsible gambling at LiveScoresX

We cover football scores, and some of our pages also mention betting. For anyone who does bet, we want it to stay a pastime. This page explains how to keep it that way and where to find free help if it stops being one.

Only people aged 18 and over should bet, and nothing on LiveScoresX is aimed at younger audiences.

• Decide how much you can afford to lose before you place a bet, and treat that money as spent.
• Walk away from a losing run rather than trying to recover it.
• Never use money meant for bills, rent or food.
• Take breaks, and do not bet when tired, upset or drinking.
• Remember that no preview or prediction is certain. Any match can end differently.

Pay attention if you are betting more than you meant to, chasing losses, borrowing to gamble, hiding it from people close to you, or feeling anxious when you cannot bet. Noticing the signs early makes change easier, and asking for help is a sensible step, not an admission of failure.

• Deposit and loss limits: cap what you can put in or lose in a day, week or month.
• Reality checks: pop-up reminders showing how long you have played.
• Time-outs: pause an account from a day to several weeks.
• Self-exclusion: shut an account for six months or more. In the UK, GAMSTOP lets you do this with every participating online operator in one go, for free.
• Blocking software: Gamban and BetBlocker stop gambling sites and apps from loading on your devices.

• National Gambling Helpline: 0808 8020 133. Free, 24 hours a day, run by GamCare.
• GamCare: advice, chat and counselling.
• GambleAware: guidance and treatment information.
• Gamblers Anonymous UK: meetings run by people with first-hand experience.
• NHS gambling advice and the NHS National Gambling Clinic for specialist treatment.

Outside the UK, search for your country's gambling helpline or ask a doctor or regulator about local support.

We keep betting content away from under-18s, link to this page from every footer, and never claim a bet is certain to win. We also explain how we earn money on our sister site's trust pages. The same page on TipsterCompetition carries our full safer gambling guidance.
